Alicia Keys is back! This video for her second single off her new album, As I Am, is entitled Like You'll Never See Me Again. The video opens with a guy, played by Common, laying in a hospital bed on the verge of dying and as the video goes on, it backtracks through time and shows what happened leading up to him in the hospital. The first time I saw this video i cried, and every time i saw it after that I cried also. I like this video because it is a great example of not taking anything for granted and not getting too worked up over little fights because you never know what can happen and what will happen to those you love. In the end the guy ends up living but his girlfriend in the video and him really gain an appreciation for each other and realize that they need to treat each moment together like they'll never see each other again.

I don't know if I'm the only who thinks this, but Alicia Keys is really starting to piss me off. She is the artist of the week on MTV and every other commercial involves her moaning out songs that some may thing are good. Lots of them are just her singing one strung out note and maybe moving up or down a couple octaves...needless to say, it's quite the annoyance. In the past weeks I've seen quite a few good artists on MTV's "Artist of the Week", such as Chromeo and Silversun Pickups. Don't get me wrong, Alicia Keys is a very talented musician, I just wish that she would show it more in the commercials that come on. I'm sure that if she did, it would boost album sales...or at least I'd think.
I think Alicia Keys is very talented and im glad to see that she is coming out with more music. I really enjoyed the video and found it very moving as well! I think a good song and video is one that makes an impact on you and this did it. The only other video that has made me cry was the video for Hurt by Christina Aguliera.
