Southside Pride!!
The Chicago White Sox are considered Chicago's "second team." This term usually comes from Chicago Cub fans, who are of course our most hated rivals. Shouldn't it be the other way around? The Cubs hold the longest World Series drought of almost one hundred years and will most likely continue on for another hundred years or so. But yet they still talk crap even though their hated cross town rivals, the White Sox, just recently won a championship in 2005. Sounds a little childish doesn't it? What's even worse is when they made a man, by the name of Steve Bartman, go into hiding because everyone blamed him for ruining their chances of a World Series by reaching for a ball that should of been caught. We all know we would have done the same thing he did, but of course, cubs fans need to blame something. As in the thier absurd curse such as the billy goat which they blame for their near on hundred year drought. There are also a few more good points on why the Sox are better right here. The way i see it, the Chicago White Sox are just way to good for the cubs to mess with.

I believe that this post by B-F-N clearly states an obvious arguement between Chicago's baseball team. I mean seriously, we're all from Chicago and when the White Sox won the World Series in 2005 you'd think that maybe Cubs fans would show a little respect instead it turned out to be the other way around. In 2007 when the Cubs were in the World Series all I heard was, "Come on you have to cheer on the Cubbies." Thinking back on 2005 made my decision a lot easier. I find it hard to hate a team that's also from Chicago, I just simply adore the White Sox. I strongly agree with all of the comments made in the post and believe that until the hundred years are broken, just appreciate that a team from your hometown was able to win a World Series in your lifetime.
